A Child-Centred Service in the School Community

Smart Steps began at Scoil Mhuire Ramelton in May 2022 and has grown into an important part of the school community.

Our service offers friendly, dependable school-age childcare in a warm and familiar setting, where children are supported to play, create, relax and grow with confidence.

Scoil Mhuire’s child-centred approach and wonderful outdoor grounds make it a special environment for children, giving them space to enjoy active play, exploration and daily routines in a caring school setting.

As part of daily school life, we work in partnership with school leadership to ensure that the service reflects the ethos, routines and safeguarding standards of Scoil Mhuire.

About the School

Scoil Mhuire is a welcoming mixed primary school serving the Ramelton community and surrounding areas.

With approximately 200 pupils, the school provides a warm, child-centred environment where children are supported to learn, grow and take part fully in school life.

Located in Ramelton between Milford and Letterkenny, Scoil Mhuire is known for its caring ethos and wonderful school grounds, giving children space to play, explore and enjoy a strong sense of belonging within the school community.
