Smart Steps began at Raphoe Central N.S. in August 2023 and has quickly become an important part of the school community.
Our service provides structured, reliable school-age childcare in a familiar school setting, helping children to settle, play, create and grow in a safe and supportive environment.
As part of daily school life at Raphoe Central, we work in partnership with school leadership to ensure that the service reflects the school’s ethos, routines and safeguarding standards.

Raphoe Central N.S. is a welcoming mixed primary school at the heart of the Raphoe community, serving local families and surrounding rural areas.
With approximately 187 pupils, the school is a busy and supportive place where children are encouraged to learn, grow and take part in all aspects of school life.
Located in Raphoe between Lifford and Letterkenny, Raphoe Central provides a positive and inclusive environment where children can build confidence, friendships and a strong sense of belonging.
