A New Service in the School Community
Smart Steps began at Scoil Náisiúnta Muire Gan Smál, Lifford, in 2025 and is already becoming part of daily school life.
Our service provides friendly, reliable school-age childcare in a warm and familiar school setting, supporting local children and families before and after the school day.
Children are encouraged to settle in, play, create and enjoy daily routines in a safe school environment where they can grow in confidence and independence.
We work closely with school leadership and the Board of Management to ensure that the service reflects the ethos, routines and safeguarding standards of Scoil Náisiúnta Muire Gan Smál.

Scoil Náisiúnta Muire Gan Smál is a welcoming mixed primary school serving the Lifford community and surrounding rural areas.
With approximately 120 pupils, the school provides a warm and supportive environment where children are encouraged to learn, grow and take part fully in school life.
